Packing for CampPACKING FOR CAMP WHAT TO BRING:
· Change of clothing · Extra underwear · Socks (bring enough) · Swimming suit · Pajamas · Sweatshirt or jacket · Comfortable shoes (bring a couple pairs) · RAIN GEAR (boots) · Washcloth, towel, soap, & shampoo · Toothbrush & paste · Mirror, comb, & brush · Sunscreen · Bug spray · Handkerchiefs or tissues · Flashlight (batteries) · Small rug to sit upon · Plastic bag for wet items · Sleeping bag (or three or more wool blankets)· Extra blanket – it can get COLD! · Pillow · Alarm clock (battery powered) Optional: · Medication · Camp Store money (pack in easily-accessible area of bag) · Items to dress for daily themes · Sheets · Air mattress · Recreation equipment · Fishing pole · Camera & film · Paper, pencil, & stamps · Costume skit material Wear clothes suitable for camp, such as comfortable, low-heeled shoes; pants; and shorts.

When packing, please keep this camp DRESS CODE in mind: Jeans, khakis, t-shirts, and walking shorts (mid-thigh or longer) are appropriate. Cut-offs; badly worn jeans; t-shirts depicting drug, alcohol, or sexually-oriented slogans; tube tops; tank tops with straps smaller than two inches wide; exposed undergarments; and strapless or backless shirts are not appropriate. Shoes are to be worn at all times except in the swimming and boating areas. Swimsuits are to be worn only at the swimming and boating areas, and should be covered going to and from the lake. 4-H members not wearing appropriate dress will be asked to change.
Note: Please mark all luggage and personal items with name, address, and county. Bring only suitable camping luggage (old suitcase or duffel bag). Garbage bags are not suitable as luggage. Campers will need to carry their luggage into their tent sites, so please pack accordingly. Personal vehicles will not be permitted in the camping areas.
Medical Forms will be distributed to the parent/guardian for updating before camp. The form will then be returned to the extension office prior to camp or to the bus chaperone on the day of departure.
WHAT NOT TO BRING: · Knives · Extra food (Food and candy attracts unwanted wildlife to the tenting areas. Extra food will be collected and held in main camp.) · Cell phones or two-way radios · Any other “no” item listed on the 4-H Member Code of Conduct 4
